Preventing and Treating Low Sperm Count

After penis size, sperm volume is the second concern of most sexually active men. If the reason for wanting a bigger penis is the same for everybody, in the case of semen volume we can talk about two categories of men: those who are trying to conceive and those who just think that more is better.

Low sperm count is the leading cause of male infertility. The normal sperm count is about 20 million spermatozoids per milliliter of ejaculate. At least 60% of them should have a normal shape and motility for the fertilization to take place. Medical help is available for men who are trying to conceive. The procedure known as "washing" (semen is introduced in a centrifuge, where sperms are separated from seminal fluid) is now standard for any IVF or GIFT.

As for the second category of men, there is this perception according to which a man who ejaculates more is more potent. And, though this is debatable and different from man to man, some even say they experience more intense orgasms if they ejaculate more.

Low sperm count is produced by internal and external factors such as: exposure to extreme heat, toxins or radiation, heavy duty cycling, insomnia, smoking, obesity, nutrient deficiencies, performance pressure and emotional stress

1. Heavy duty bicycling produces damages to the tissue in the genital area and can even hurt the scrotum

2. Testicular exposure to extreme heat, such as high fever, hot baths, saunas and tight underwear may reduce a man's sperm count.

3. Smoking is a threat to healthy semen, as it reduces sperm count, motility and lifespan and has negative effects on a man's libido.

4. Environmental assaults (exposure to toxins, radiation, chemicals, heavy metals) can affect the hormone system as well as sperm production in otherwise healthy men.

5. Deficiencies in certain nutrients, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B12, selenium, zinc, and foliate may be risk factors for sperm count.

Fortunately, reduced sperm count can be prevented and treated. There are various methods that a man can use to improve sperm count, but a few minor lifestyle changes are always required:

1. Exercising regularly
2. Eating nutritious food
3. Refraining from smoking and alcohol consumption
4. Loosing excess weight

Another good method would be semen enhancing pills, which are perfect for those who just think a bigger load is manlier. There are lots of such products on the market. Most of them are high quality, they contain herbal ingredients and have been developed in FDA approved laboratories.

Sperm enhancing pills were meant to increase semen volume and quality. But most of them can also give a man stronger, harder and longer lasting erections, more intense orgasms and a feeling of self confidence. They contain herbal aphrodisiacs that increase sexual appetite, and the overall quality of intercourse. Due to the natural nutrients included in their formulas semen enhancing pills are very likely to improve sexual and overall health.
