Penis Length vs. Shoe Size

You must have heard those myths and urban legends relating the size of a man's penis to that of a visible body part: feet, nose, hands. Let's see:

1. The length of a man's penis is the same as the distance between the middle of his eyebrows and the tip of his nose.

2. The size of a man's penis is related to his height. Extremely tall men are supposed to be very well endowed.

3.A man's penis is the same length as the distance between his wrist and the tip of his middle finger.

4. Penile length is directly related to shoe size.

You can't change your height or the size of your nose. But you might be thinking of buying a pair of extra large shoes to wear on dates. Before going to the mall take a few minutes and finish reading this.

English urologists at St. Mary's Hospital and University College Hospital in London conducted a rather amusing study on over 100 men, trying to establish a relation between the subjects' personal length and their shoe size. Researchers did their measurements themselves immediately after the men undressed, thus accounting for what they called "environmental influences", i.e. shrinkage (Seinfeld definition: "What happens to your pecker in cold water")

The British Journal of Urology International has published the results of the study in an article called "Can Shoe Size Predict Penile Length", which explains there is no scientific support for the relationship that is said to exist between a man's penis size and his other bodily parts. It is nothing but a common misconception.

But makes men search for such correlations?

First, it might be the fact that we live in a society where sex is still a taboo which prevents us from obtaining enough correct sexual information.

Second, we try to find patterns where they do not exist. We want to live in an orderly universe where everything is directly related to everything else, where nothing is unknown, including our own bodies. We want to prove that every person was built on a precise scale, where each part should match an exact proportion. Which is not true at all. Even on the same person one hand will always be bigger, one breast will always be larger than the other, one testicle will hang lower, than the other and the muscles of one arm will always be larger than the muscles of the other. And third, we trust such legends because we think they offer us insight into a very private aspect of a man's life. An unkind teacher will be less fearsome if the adolescent student thinks he has a small penis.

Penis size is of primary importance for young men, especially for Americans, which more likely to have body image problems than their European counterparts. This kind of problems will always lead not only to a decrease in self confidence, but also to depression and even to obsessive-compulsive disorder.

However, when it comes to sex it's not penis size that matters, it's the way you use it. It's not enough to have a large penis if your sexual performance technique is poor. And a smart woman is very aware of that.

So, when going out for a date, leave your large shoes home and be sure to take some sens of humor and some intelligence instead.
