The greatest disadvantage is that it works best only on erect penises, or when a complete erection is not reached. 2. It provides for temporary enlargement of the penis, and doesn’t make the penis grow. There is no increase in the length or girth of the penis. 3. Many men complain that their penis tends to misshape, get discolored and even turn numb with extensive use of penis pumps. Sometimes even lymph blisters form on the penis glands which can lead to eventual gangrene of the penis. 4. Not many people are happy with the idea of having a foreign object in between their lovemaking. 5. The clamp found at the end of the penis can cause discomfort at ejaculation. 6. If the penis pump does not have a reliable pressure gauge, it can cause more harm than good. It can damage the penile blood vessels and cause pain and soreness to the penis. This weakens the penis, and thus gives a shorter than normal erection. 7. Continuous use of penis pumps will make a man so dependent on the pumps whereby they cannot have a normal erection without it. If you are considering using a penis pump for penile erection, it is better to consider all these disadvantages before doing so.
