When Sex Becomes a Relationship
Sex, or, better said, one-night-stands are practiced more and more often. Either it happens due to lack of time or just because we are not able to find
a partner to whom we would like to spend a considerable amount of time with, these flings should be accepted as they are.
Most of us have done it at least once. But the one-night-stand may happen when you are already involved in another relationship, because of the monotony
or simply because you want to feel another warm body beside you one night, different from your partner’s. You just feel you need something else, something
strictly sexual, an adventure. You think it won’t affect the relationship you are currently involved in, but, on the contrary, that it will make it better.
The fling soon goes away and it is forgotten, and its results can’t be other way than benefic. But things are not always like this, from certain points of view.
You might wake up the next morning, leaving in a hurry after an excellent night and, suddenly, during the day, to start thinking of her, your partner from the
previous night. You might not be able to erase her image from your head. You might want to see her again, although you have said to yourself that it will
only last for one night.
After a couple of days of pure hell you might give in and call her. And you might hear her voice and feel the urge to hear that voice
every time you wake up in the morning, instead of that of your partner’s. You could take a break from seeing the person that seems to suffocate you each time
you go home, hoping you will forget the new ‘her’ and give your old relationship a chance.
But things might not turn the way you though they would. By ‘running from yourself’ you could end up convincing yourself that it is better to do something, and fast.
So you decide to risk and leave something that was keeping you tied for, maybe, some years in a serious relationship. No matter how well-aware you might be of the
fact that you will cause her a lot of suffering, your happiness should count the most, after all. And you could end up real happy. A relationship that initially
begins as a one-night-stand doesn’t necessarily exclude an emotional sequel of the story.
Nevertheless, this happens in few cases but in none of them should you look for a sentimental refugee from the beginning. But remember, if your one-nigh-stand
turns into a serious relationship or not, it’s all about you, about what you want and desire.
